Exploring different techniques to make a range of items, from wet felting to needle felting. I run small workshops to teach others and pass on the skills of this fabulous craft.
These are felted polystyrene heads. The felt was fixed using sharp felting needles.
Below left is a felt spiral with beads added.
The image of Salts Mill in Saltaire is a felt piece I made back in 2005 on an Art Access course.
Once every year, a gathering of people travel from all over the UK to meet for a few days at Ashville College in Harrogate. The 14 men and women met more than 30 years ago through an Open University course and continue to get together annually. I was asked to run some felt-making sessions and here are some of the results.
