The gallery

Unique Arts is a not-for-personal profit enterprise. Any money we make (and that is very little!) is put back into the business. The two co-founders who run the shop and deal with admin do not take a wage and make no personal profit. No-one will be turned away from Unique Arts. If you have created an individual and unique piece of art, you are welcome to display it for sale in our shop. We welcome all types of work including photography, paintings, textiles, hand-made crafts, ceramics, hand-made cards. The shop space is limited so we are not be able to display large items. We welcome any input - and any skills that you can offer - marketing, shopsitting, accounts etc. We add 30 per cent commission to the price and new sellers are asked to pay a £10 one-off fee when they bring their work to the shop. Items are taken for sale on a SALE OR RETURN basis. Once a price is agreed, items are displayed for sale with the commission added. Items will be displayed for up to six months. During that time you are welcome to call in and change items or add more if we are selling them. (Items unclaimed for one year will become our property.) Unique Arts welcomes art and craft works from the whole community: this includes the disabled; the elderly; those with learning difficulties; as well as anyone who has a love of arts and crafts. All artists and craftspeople now have the opportunity to display and sell their work to a wider audience. Unique Arts also welcomes support - financial and other - from local businesses.

Unique Arts is a small retail arts and crafts outlet based in the South Square Centre at Thornton, Bradford. The centre also has a vegetarian cafe, a framers, an art gallery and exhibition space and individual businesses.
