This is my self-indulgent fun page. Even if it is only ever me who reads and enjoys the drivel which appears on here, it's fine by me.

Ok. I have to admit it ... I LOVE Lost. I have watched every single episode in every single season. I am still pretty clueless as to what is going on but it remains gripping stuff nonetheless.
And Jack? Well, I really wasn't bothered much about him to start, but now he has grown his hair and become more chilled, I do think he is raaaather sexy.
Now, if I could just put his head on Sawyer's body and have Ben Linus's voice ... whoa, perfect man!
Have you ever read it? I mean, as in, READ Gulliver's Travels? There are a lot of people out there who think: Ah yes, Gulliver - wasn't he the chap who got caught by little people? Er .. Lilliput?
Well yes and no. Gulliver's Travels is much much more than a well loved fairytale story. There are - as well as the Lilliputians - giant people (the Brobdingnags); islands which fly and drop rocks on their enemy lands, and talking horses - the Houyhnhnms.
The full title of this wonderful book by Jonathan Swift is: Travels into several remote nations of the world by Lemuel Gulliver. Published in 1726 it is astounding how many parallels the reader can draw with our day and age from the adventures and people Gulliver encounters - or indeed, how foresightful Swift must have been.
This book was recommended to me by a friend, to whom I said: "Gulliver's Travels? Isn't that just some story about a bloke who ..."
